Midsumma changes management team
Melbourne’s Midsumma has made some changes to its management team in preparation for the 2013 festival, Midsumma chairwoman Lisa Watts (pictured) announced yesterday.
Over the past three years, the Midsumma board has contracted the administration and delivery of the festival to the Adam Lowe Group, which saw the festival through a smooth relocation of Carnival to a new site at Birrarung Marr.
“The time is now right for Midsumma to return to separating the administration of the festival from the delivery of Carnival,” Watt said.
“We are delighted that Monique Thorpe, previously part of the Adam Lowe Group team, has agreed to work full-time on Midsumma as our festival manager.”
Midsumma anticipates that the Adam Lowe Group will continue to play an important role with Midsumma, delivering Carnival Day for 2013.
